The Board is asked to approve Resolution 358.2/10 Decrease the Number of Certificated Employees Due to a Reduction in Particular Kinds of Services for the 2010-2011 school year.

2. Approval of Resolution 359.2/10-Criteria for Determining Order of Seniority for Those Employees With the Same Date of First Paid Service Time Certain: 07:45 PM

The Board will discuss criteria for order of lay off and rehire and adopt criteria to be used by administration. The board will be asked to approve Resolution 359.2/10 - Criteria for Determining Order of Seniority for Those Employees With the Same Date of First Paid Service

3. Report and Recommendations regarding Support Services at Redwood Middle School Time Certain: 08:05 PM (D)

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Beth Polito, Redwood Middle School Principal Kelly Green and Director of Special Education Janice Yamamoto will present a report regarding Support Services in general and special education at Redwood Middle School.

Superintendent Lane Weiss will update the board on the district budget including information from the most recent tax assessor's meeting. Weiss will also share information and recommendations made by the Budget Advisory Committee.

The Board is required to certify that the District is able to meet its financial obligations for the remainder of the 2009-10 school year and the subsequent two years. Chief Business Officer Rosanna Jeng will review year to date income and expenses through January 31, 2010. The Board will then we asked to approve the Second Interim Report.

8. CSBA Delegate Assembly Time Certain: 09:25 PM (D) (V)

The Board is asked to vote for up to 6 candidates running for the California School Boards� Association Delegate Assembly. Board President Cindy Ruby will present a recommendation for candidates.

9. Approval of Board Policy Revisions Time Certain: 09:35 PM (D) (V)

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Beth Polito will present board policy revisions for approval as recommended by staff.

10. Update on the Provisional Appointment Process for filling vacant seat on the Saratoga Union School District Board of Trustees Time Certain: 09:45 PM (D)

Superintendent Lane Weiss and board sub-committee members will provide an update on the process for filling a vacant seat on the SUSD Board of Trustees.
